Happy Friday, Folks!
I have beach fever.
This week, I booked a 2 week vacation to Brazil (atwoweekvacationtobrazil!!!!). My visit to the motherland will take place in February, which in my opinion, is the best possible time to leave New England. It’s when you can’t stand winter for another minute, and you regularly question your Northeast location in this great nation, I usually distract myself by snowboarding, but this is so much better. Anyhow, in an effort to continue feeding my fever, Earl and I will be heading to my mom’s for some quality pool time tomorrow….aaaaaaand maybe I’m also going to the beach Sunday. I’m taking this weekend seriously.
Do I even have to explain why these photographs from Malin Gray are the perfect compliment to my mood?
“Shooting from doorless helicopters, this series has been photographed around the world from the U.S. to Brazil to Australia. From above, a simple beach or pool becomes a blank canvas that allows me to start seeing the world as art. People and objects become patterns creating repetition, shape and form. These photographs are a visual celebration of color, light, shape—and summer bliss.”
I hope you have the most fantastic weekend.

TVF’s been quiet lately, huh? There’s a ton going on, all great things, but busy nonetheless 🙂 I do hope you enjoy this post on citrus hues. Summer is in full swing and I am so drawn to these fresh colors. Not only the colors, but the actual fruit motifs have made a huge come back in the last couple years (particularly in fashion), it’s like the floral print’s juicy cousin, I like it!

Nothing better to celebrate the first official weekend of Summer than some big ass sequins on some buildings. Don’t you think?
Theresa Himmer is the Danish/Czech artist responsible for this seriously superior street art. She uses thousands of sequins, plywood and plastic to create shiny, nature- inspired installations on buildings. I can appreciate good graffiti, but this is on a new level.
I think I’ve just come across the most beautiful place on the internet. While diligently working on a post last night, I was pleasantly side tracked by a blog called The Cherry Blossom Girl. Judging from how popular it is – and rightfully so- I may be a bit late to the party, nonetheless, I am beyond happy to have found it. Alix was born and raised in Paris, she has worked for the likes of Alexander McQueen and Chloe (le sigh), she has impeccable style that is perfectly feminine, romantic and whimsical, she travels to places I dream of visiting… She is also an amazing photographer…Oh how I wish I could post every picture… Oh how I think I might literally be in love with a website… Oh the wonders of blogging…
My favorite part about blogging is coming across other blogs. If you have a minute, or a couple hours, be sure to visit Alix’s world.

A little bit of Death Cab, to go with this amazing home designed for some serious lakeside leisure. Sometimes, a lack of color isn’t a bad thing…

Happy Friday, Folks!
Since this week has kicked me hard in the rear, or better yet- I kicked this week in it’s rear, I thought an Earl post would be much more fun than writing up a real post ….this after a rockin’ 14 hour work day yesterday, and yes, this is me totally taking the easy route to the weekend and there ain’t nothing wrong with that honey boo boo.
You may have seen my Instagrams via link on the sidebar. By the looks of things, I think everything looks better seen through a nifty filter, which results with me instagramming quite a bit. I can’t help it, I’ve tried to cut back, it didn’t work. Earl is my biggest enabler, every time I see him napping like Dracula, I’m like oh shit, where’s my phone.
So here it is…enjoy.
This is Earl depressed because he hates walking in the rain, even with that sick hand-me-down jacket from Rocky Balboa, who is Rocky Balboa, you ask? See below.
Pepper on the left and Ty on the right, these are Earl’s biffies at mom’s house. They don’t usually sport such amazing haircuts, and Ty has both eyes, I don’t know what happened there, he looks like a total pirate.
